9 at 9 - a Saturday Spotlight interview with...

I am pleased to be shining the Saturday spotlight on a blogger who is a fairly new girl on the bloggy block and I'm sure someone who we'll be hearing a lot from in the future!  Without further ado, please check out my interview with Savannah from Simply Me

1. Tell us a little bit about your blog:

My blog is a family blog!  I try to incorporate all aspects of family life.  Whether it be about a new toy my kids discovered, a new book that I love or even just a recipe that my family likes.  As of right now I'm trying to figure out something to blog about my pets since they are also part of my family.  And my hubby is insisting I have a weekly sports post ;)  We will see.
2. How long have you been blogging and what do you love about it?

I have only started blogging this year!  So I have not even been doing it for a full year yet.  My favorite part about having a blog is being able to post about my family I love telling stories about my kids and just being able to write about life.

3. Who is the person or group behind the blog?

I'm Savannah Miller (right in the blog URL),  I'm a Stay at home mother of a 4 year old little boy and a 1 year old little boy.  I'm 25 I have an amazing hubby, who was also my high school sweet heart :).  I live in PA, in the middle of no where ;)  I have a really weird sense of humor (So I've been told.)  I have 2 dogs and for some reason a stray cat.....  Still not sure how I ended up with a cat.

4. What hobbies/interests do you have?

I love reading, cooking, shopping, I have myself convinced I can grow a garden too, (My poor dead flowers.)  and I also love blogging!

5. If you could invite 4 people (real or fictional, living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and what would you serve?

Well this is a tough one.... I do love to read so I think I would go for all my favorite literary characters:
1st: Heathcliff, because I would love to know what was going on in that man's head.  And sadly he was my first literary crush and yes I do realize he was crazy :).
2nd:  Edgar Allan Poe I really think him and Heathcliff could have some great conversations.  Plus I love his poetry and short stories, even though they are creepy to most people.
3rd:  Bobby Ray Smith, a shape shifting wolf.  My favorite modern hero from a book.  I mean I don't think dinner would be complete unless we had a supernatural being there.  (The Beast in Him by Shelly Laurenston.)
4th:  And of course my little brother Luke, I don't think he would forgive me if I got to invite Poe to dinner and didn't include him!

As for what we would be eating.... Lets do loaded cheesy potato casserole and honey bbq wings :)  Just because both recipes can be found on my blog.

6. I can’t live without…

I can't live without my kids.  But if we are talking about material goods I would have to say my e-reader, as I'm sure you noticed I'm a bit of a book worm :)

7. Something people would be surprised to know about me is…

I think people would be surprised to learn that I watched the movie "300",  at least 25 times!  I LOVE that movie, BTW in case you didn't know its my favorite movie :)

8. Three of my favorite blogs to visit are:

Hmm it really is too hard to pick 3 favorite blogs!  Actually is may be impossible!  Sorry I just can't do it!  I have a bunch of blogs/sites bookmarked. so I will just list the first 3 on my book marked list:

9. Three of my favorite posts on my blog are:

This is by far my favorite part of my own blog,  stories like these are the main reason I started a blog they were just too good to keep to myself:

I also liked this post because it went for a good cause:

And since I am hungry for this right now I will have to list this post as number 3:

Thanks so much Savannah!  I too think that Edgar Allen Poe would be an interesting dinner guest... never thought about inviting a supernatural being, but if my daughter had any say in the guest list there would be one....  For those of you who haven't had a chance to connect with Savannah, please check out her blog, and you can also find her on Facebooktwitter, and google plus
