I am pleased to be reviewing the HIDEIN key today and offering a giveaway as well!

About the product:

Bottle Snugglers Product Review

Erik is an independent little cuss... he self weaned because he wanted to be watching the important goings on around him that were way more exciting than the view of mommy's chest... and he wants to hold his own bottle too, which I appreciate, but he gets distracted and off goes the bottle... we were grocery shopping the other day and he actually dropped a bottle so hard that it shattered in the produce department... just my luck to have him crying over spilled milk in public...

Snapily.com Review, Discount and #Giveaway!

I am always looking for unique ways to share my kids with relatives, especially since we are so far away from them, so when I had the opportunity to check out Snapily.com and their neat animated photo cards!  Here's a sample:

Product Review - Digital Photo Keychain

Remember back when you used to ask someone about their kids or grandkids and they'd pull out one of those accordion fold plastic things out of their wallet and show you every child's life history in detail?  Well, with technology advancing as fast as it has, you can now stay enthralled by photos for hours!

I received a Red 1.5" 32MB Digital Photo Keychain to review from WholesaleKeychain.com.  This little device is amazing - it comes with a USB cable and lets you quickly and easily download and swap out pictures and then take them with you wherever you go!  What's more, while you're swapping out your pics, you are also charging up the battery!

It can store up to 475 pictures and you can adjust the slideshow to scroll manually or automatically and set the pace for it as well!

You can also personalize the back of the keychain - so I did - it say SOMEONE's Brag Tag - sorry, it's going to be a gift and he/she might read my blog occasionally...

This Digital photo keychain would make a fabulous Mother's Day, Father's Day or birthday gift for anyone who likes to keep photos close at hand!

Here are all the specs:

Mother's Day is right around the corner and I've already received a wonderful mother's day gift to review from Joseph Allen Designs and even better, he's offered a giveaway for one lucky reader of a $50 gift certificate for his Hand Stamped Jewelry.

Product Review - Cute Stationary from Amy Adele

Robyn is getting to the age where she's got more reasons to sit down and write thank you notes that have a little more flair than they used to, so when the opportunity arose to check out Amy Adele's line up of personalized stationary, I jumped at the chance.

Sniffle Buddies Review and #Giveaway

One of the things we have to contend with during the winter with Liam is that he constantly has a runny nose, and doesn't always like to find a tissue - especially when he's playing outside.  That's why I was glad to run across the Sniffle Buddies product.

Product Description
Sniffle Buddies are super-soft, eco-friendly wristbands that were invented by a Mom to assist her allergy-prone son when he was a toddler.

They're now used in the Speical Needs and Sporting Goods world to help out during hand-free moments in life.

Take one along on your next ski trip and "give your glove a break" or check out the "Top 10 Newest Products for Special Needs Children" testing review at www.ableplay.org .

Sniffle Buddies are hand assembled in the USA form 70% Organic Bamboo / 28% Organic Cotton / 2% poly.  The fabric covers USA made elastic and is secured by USA made velcro.

They're washable, durable, easy to use, handy, award winning, and available in up to 11 colors in sizes that fit toddlers to adults.

(S) Toddler's bare wrist - $7.99
(M) Adult bare wrist / Child Over the Coat - $8.99
(L) Adult Over the Coat - $9.99

Sniffle Buddies, LLC is happy to be a Green America Approved Business!

My review:

For us, this arrived after the worst of cold season was over, but I'm pleased to say that Liam will keep it on his wrist and use it when his nose starts to run and he was outside away from a tissue box!  It is easily machine washable and stays soft for the next time!  This is not meant to replace tissues for everyday use, but when tissues aren't around, this is a great alternative - and for Liam it's a great way for him to be more independent while learning that he needs to get a tissue.

There are other practical applications for your sniffle buddy - you can wear it during a workout to dab the light sheen from your brow, you can use it to catch baby drool while you're out and about and it's a great solution for those times when it's cold outside and you sniffle just when you're out in the cold.  It would be great for skiing or snowboarding, or even on those great tobbogan runs!

As I said, it's easily machine washable and dryer safe - which means that I throw it in on a hot cycle with my towels and it comes out fresh and sanitary for the next use!

You can purchase Sniffle Buddies at www.snifflebuddies.com or you can win one here!

Product Review: French Toast School Uniforms

One of the toughest things I've found as a mom of kids who wear uniforms to school is that sometime after you stock up on everything they need for the entire school year, the darn kids keep growing!  For the past several years, I've had to scramble mid-year because Robyn has started to go to school in capris that were long pants the week before.  Last spring, she finally started getting a bit of a butt and she grew 3 1/2 inches in 3 months, so finding appropriate and approved uniforms during the 'off season' was a tough slog.

That's why I'm pleased to be able to review French Toast, the online uniform store - which is open 24/7 all year long!
For many years, school uniforms were thought of as stuffy and dowdy. That was then, this is now. French Toast School Uniforms are school dress code-approved, but if you look at the site, you’ll see they are really quite nice, stylish and very inexpensive. Almost one in four public school students in the US attend a school with a dress code, and most private and parochial schools have a dress code or uniform program. And the number of schools approving a dress code increases by at least 5 percent each year.
French Toast sent me three pieces for Robyn to review - a pair of pants, bermuda shorts and a long sleeved polo top.

My Review:
The first thing I noticed and liked when I clicked on their site was that they had a wide range of sizes to cover everyone from pre-school to teenagers!  From sizes 2T to Adult 5XL!  They also They have also designed their uniforms with both function and fashion in mind.

The website was easy to navigate and shop at, and even though it is off-peak time, I was able to find almost everything I wanted in stock!  Robyn has a pretty simple dress code - khaki bottoms and navy collared top, and next year her top color will change to white to designate her grade level.  It was also easy to know sizing, because each item had a sizing chart that detailed the exact sizing for that item.

I chose to get her a pair of cute Bermuda shorts, because the ones she had from last year aren't meeting the length requirement any more (darn that growing child - gotta remember to quit feeding her) and finding shorts that make the cut right now in stores is tough.  I really hemmed and hawed over the below the knee Bermuda short too, thinking that she might get more wear out of them, but I decided to go with the traditional ones.  I may order them for her next.

The second thing I picked was the skinny stretch twill pant.  I really like these for Robyn because one of the trends at her school has been wearing boots with their uniforms and the skinny pant looks great with her boots!  Again, this is a tough look to find in stores right now, so finding it online for her is great!

They had a full range of pants - 9 different styles for juniors alone, everything from adjustable waist to pleated to wide leg - something for everyone!

Both pairs of pants were well made and Robyn has worn them to school several times now and been very comfortable.  I love that they are easily washable and the stains come right out - even the ketchup that she sat in one day at the cafeteria!

My final pick was a simple long sleeved polo for next year - I got it just a little big so that she can grow into it!    I like that this is a good, tight knit and is still very soft!  As with the pants, it's well constructed and a great fit and a great price!

Beyond the specific merchandise, one of the things that impressed me most about French Toast is that they give back to schools!  If you order your uniform from them online, your school can earn 5% cash back and prizes!  If even 10% of the students order through this, it could be a great fundraiser!

Shipping is quite reasonable - and even if you only need to buy your school uniforms once a year - not fighting the crowds during back to school shopping is worth it to me!  You can also register for updates and discounts just by sharing your email address with them!

If you're like me and need to find uniforms for your kids, I highly recommend that you check out French Toast!

Product Review and #Giveaway - BH Cosmetics 120 2nd Edition Eye Shadow Palette

I received a fabulous collection of eye shadows from BH Cosmetics recently.  As a new-again mommy, I had  been neglecting my make up routine and really hadn't been having fun with my face, but now that I'm stepping back out as a never-stay-at-home mom, I want to put my best face forward.
I got this fabulous collection of colors - 120 in all and have been enjoying the chance to play once again.  Robyn says that the best colors I've tried are the full range of blues and teals, but I'm still partial to the purples and greens too!  I haven't been daring enough to try the yellows and oranges, but I love the fact that all of the colors are so vibrant and long lasting.  One of the tricks I learned long ago was to intensify my eye shadows even more by putting them on wet, and this makes the blues just pop and makes my dark brown eyes sparkle!   The one thing I've had to invest in to use this pallete is a set of good make up brushes, because the 120 color pallet doesn't come with any make up applicators and I hate to apply eyeshadow with my fingers, but it is an investment in me right?

The eyeshadow goes on very smooth and doesn't clump like cheap brands do and it also doesn't get messy or flake in the pallete.

The other thing I love is that they have tutorials and more on their Youtube Channel

From BH:
Be an electrifying superstar with our Second Edition 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette. This makeup palette is perfect for a color addict who is looking to explore new shades. Get classic emerald and sapphire shades with a dash of brilliant rubies and golds. Long lasting and highly pigmented, these colors will stop traffic on the streets. Create your dream look with the help of 120 brilliant colors. All of our eyeshadows are light and soft to the touch. Each 9” x 6” hard case has two stacked layers that becomes a beautiful and easy to hold palette.

Are you a make up color addict like me?
You can purchase BH Cosmetics directly at www.bhcosmetics.com or

Review and #Giveaway - Brilliant Lenses Screen Cleaning Wipes

One of the most difficult things about sharing my laptop with my four year old is the strange fingerprints and other assorted fun things that end up on the computer screen.  The same thing happens with the TV's in our house, so when i had the opportunity to review Brilliant Lenses Screen Cleaning Wipes, I jumped at the chance.

Product Description
Brilliant screen cleaning wipes with SR-8 provides gentle, superior  cleaning to any electronic screen and removes dust, dirt, finger prints and makeup while imparting an invisible, durable barrier that protects screens 50x more form scratching. Helps protect against re-soiling to keep your screen brilliantly clean!

My Review
I really liked that these wipes were individually packaged, which kept them from drying out while being stored.  I also like that they have an anti-static and anti scratch coating that will help keep my screens in better shape.

The packages were easy to open, the cloth was a good size for cleaning my TV and laptop screens and they really were streak free!  The product had a nice scent and I really liked that second dry cloth that helped to ensure that the screen was really clean and I wasn't just moving the dirt around the screen.  They are definitely an effective screen cleaner.

Product Review - So Easy Baby Food Kit

We all know fresh is best. Let the So Easy Baby Food Kit be your guide to nurture your growing baby with a balanced diet and provide the right start to a lifetime of healthy eating.
The award-winning kit includes everything you need to get started, and of course it’s so easy. A complete system including a cookbook, how-to video, freezer storage trays, and nutrition tips card leave you with only one thing to add - fresh ingredients!
Parents say that when they use the So Easy system of making baby food that they feel great about what they are doing for their growing baby. Your baby will look forward to their meals too and you’ll enjoy yummy smiles from your baby right from the start.
So Easy Baby Food Kit includes:
Cookbook: covers introducing solid food, includes over 40 recipes, hundreds of serving suggestions, and is all organized by age. (Hardcover, 118 pages).

How-to DVD: offers step-by-step instruction - from selecting the right produce - to making baby food - to serving it.
Nutrition tips card: gives you tips on the best sources of nutrients, introducing foods by age, first aid for choking, and more. (Waterproof Finish)
The So Easy Baby Food Kit is designed for babies making the transition from breast or bottle to solid foods. (babies about 6 months old).
My review:
I absolutely love the way this book and kit is organized!  It's designed to help you walk through the process of introducing a variety of foods to your child and lets you document your progress right in the book!  The DVD reinforces the book and gives you step by step instructions for just about everything - making it truly simple to get organized and get making your own baby food.  Even after raising Liam, there are things to consider that I hadn't thought about last time around, and as I prepare to start Erik on solid foods in a few months, it weighs on my mind that we've got so many food issues with Liam because of his Autism, that we may have made worse by our choices when he was younger (allowing him to reject foods)
One of the things I like most about this book compared to others is that it presents both sides of an argument and lets you decide for yourself... for instance it doesn't tell you to choose organic vegetables, but it does tell you both about the higher cost of purchasing organic and the effects of pesticides.   The same thing with the fresh vs. frozen debate - it lays out the facts and lets you make the best decision for you and your family.
Another thing I like is that it helps you incorporate additions and modifications to the recipes like adding seasonings, mixing flavors and when to introduce certain tastes.
For more information You can find out more about the kit at www.freshbaby.com and also join Fresh Baby on Facebook and Twitter

Product Review - Oliver's Labels

Okay, I have to admit that the second coolest thing I found out about Oliver's Labels wasn't the design of the labels or that they were completely waterproof and dishwasher and laundry safe... which is all great..  the second coolest thing I found out about Oliver's Labels is that the company is based in my hometown of Toronto, and not just in Toronto, but right around the corner from where I grew up!

Now, that in it's own right is remarkably cool, but it really doesn't tell you, my avid readers, just what makes Oliver's labels special, especially as compared to the avalanche of other label companies out there... so I guess I should tell you about the coolest thing about Oliver's Labels!
Oliver's Labels can be traced!  That's right - they employ a special 'found it' system that links to your email and will help you coordinate getting little Joey's bookbag back and suzie's right shoe back where they belong!

Now, I mentioned before that Oliver's Labels are water resistant and incredibly durable - here's why:
"It all began with a small idea to keep Oliver, my nephew, from losing his stuff. After seeing the overwhelming positive reaction from his teachers and other parents, I realized there was a huge demand for high quality labels. I used my 6 years of experience in the printing industry to develop a label that was both durable and beautiful. The business was born and now our full-colour designs and exclusive Found-it™ tracking system are a few of the things that set Oliver's Labels apart from the competition." - Debbie
I got labels with Liam's name on it and a 'found it' code and have put them on his shoes, his backpack and his jacket.  I've also labeled his sippy cup for school and more.  There's nothing this label hasn't adhered to and I love the cool designs that we got to choose from...  Fortunately, we haven't had to use the found it codes, because we haven't lost anything - but I appreciate knowing they're there.

If you're in the market to label your kid - or yourself - I highly recommend checking out Oliver's Labels

Product Review - Christmas Paper Dolls

I always like to have a few things up my sleeve for the kids to do over Christmas holidays, especially when the holidays fall like they do this year - with a full week off BEFORE Christmas... and Santa still watching to see who is naughty and nice, so I was pleased to find that a company I have reviewed for before, Python Printables has come up with two great packages - the one I'm reviewing now, Christmas Paper Doll Printables and a package of holiday games and puzzles that I'll be reviewing in a little while!

What I liked about this one is that it is a single file download that you can print over and over again, once you save it to your computer.

The file has two options for your paper dolls to print - black and white, so your little fashionistas can create their own color combinations, and a set that are pre-colored to have a more instantaneous option, if there are no crayons available.

It is somewhat time consuming to cut out your doll and all of her fashions, but would be a fabulous project for older children to work on, or something you can prep in advance if you have younger children.

I found that the best way to keep my paper doll cutouts fresh was to use high quality card stock for the doll and thick paper for the clothes.

If you are looking for a great kids Christmas craft that will keep giving, you should check out Python Printables Christmas Paper Doll Printables!  They are only $6.95 US.

Product Review and Giveaway - Sand Gone

I know that many of my readers are firmly in the grips of Autumn, and have little reason to think about beach weather, but that's exactly what I started dreaming about when I received my Sand Gone sample in the mail.  They were even kind enough to send me some sand to experiment with!

Living so close to the ocean, we go to the beach year round, and will often walk barefoot in the sand even when we aren't wading out into the ocean ... then again, it was so warm at Christmas two years ago that Robyn felt the need to take the plunge:

From their website:
"Sand Gone is a dry body powder that when applied to sandy parts of your body removes the sand leaving your skin soft and smooth.  A must for beachgoers.  Works great after children after playing in the sand box. All natural ingredients smells like coconut."

One of the things I hate most about the beach is trying to get the sand and salt off the kids before it ends up in my car... they shower off, but it seems to cling to absolutely everything!  I don't have to worry any more - after testing out the claims that Sand Gone Sand Remover makes, I have found the newest must have addition for my beach bag!

The wet sand fell right off and my skin felt dry and clean!  I love the coconut scent - but it isn't overwhelming. The kids loved the powder puff that you use to apply the Sand Gone, and my car won't need to be vacuumed every time we come home from the beach or the park!

If you are planning a tropical vacation getaway this winter - you need this product NOW!  If you are planning to take the kids to the park in the spring, to play in the sandbox, you should get this product so you are ready!  Heck, even if you are thinking about heading to the beach next summer - why not get it now?!

You can order your 8oz Family Size container of Sand Gone for only $12.95 + Shipping and Handling or you can:
