Overstock Scavenger Hunt Week 5 - All Dressed Up...

Here is the last scavenger hunt clue for the Overstock.com game I am playing... I hope you have enjoyed playing along with me :-)

Start navigating from www.overstock.com.

1.)     Department: These products help to cover up our “bare essentials” without which, we would be sporting a suit of the birthday variety.

From Bare to There!  ... Heading into Clothing and Shoes

2.)     Categories: Our offspring were this clothing when they are young. You could also say our “kids” wear this clothing.

Guess I'm not shopping for myself or hubby... must be shopping for those pesky Children that keep growing whether I want to or not...

3.)     This clothing is not for our daughters but for our sons.

Robyn will be disappointed that I'm not shopping for her... maybe with that fabulous Overstock.com gift certificate that I hope to win... but for now I'm going to follow my clues to ... boys clothes

Yet again, there are several ways to get to the heart of the matter... and find exactly what I'm shopping for... this time, it's for my super fast growing little guy, Erik... who, while by age still hasn't hit the 3 month mark, has fast tracked his way into 6-9 month size clothes, so I'm already figuring that by the time he hits the 6 month mark we'll be into 12 month size clothes...

I found these adorable Monkey PJ's

What can you find... for your kids to wear... or maybe for yourself?

Scavenging for Overstock Gold!

Some of you may remember the Overstock scavenger hunt that I started in December... it's back, with another clue to unlock the fabulous treasures that await at Overstock.com

Here are the clues:

Start navigating from www.overstock.com.  Ready, set, go!

1.)   Department: Often associated with wealth, people sometimes wear this on their ears, necks, wrists and fingers.

This lead me of course to one of my favorite places at www.overstock.com - Jewelry!

2.)   The Olympic _______ make up the logo for the Olympic Games..

A teaser to be sure, but somehow that clue made me think of .... rings!

With over 7800 ring choices, I thought it would be tough to narrow down to one I really liked... but the "O" has great ways to get right to the ring that I want... so I kept searching ... looking at my options - diamond rings, gold rings, silver rings, any one of several beautiful gemstones and then I saw my category...

I'm an October baby and have always been fascinated by the fire and beauty of opals and have secretly coveted a beautiful ring with my birthstone in it... so of course I automatically clicked on Opal Rings

There were many (56) beautiful choices, but since it would be something to wear every day and I'd want to complement my wedding rings, I was looking for something in yellow gold and simple... of course Overstock.com delivered with this little beauty: 10k Gold October Birthstone Opal and Diamond Ring

Do you like it? My challenge to you ... check out the thousands of rings at Overstock.com and let me know which one turns your head....

Overstock Scavenger Hunt week 3

Today's Overstock scavenger hunt has me checking out dinnerware!
For special occasion dining, I have a lovely set of Lavender Rose dinnerware by Royal Albert that was given to me by my grandmother over several years when I was growing up..  It's actually a lovely tradition - when I was twelve or thirteen, my grandmother took me to look at china patterns and let me choose my service - and then each year for my birthday and Christmas, I would get a place setting or completer piece, until I had service for 8 and a whole range of completer pieces!

It was a great advantage when I got married, because I started out with such beautiful china that I wasn't worried or embarrassed to have dinner parties!

Overstock.com has some gorgeous formal, informal and specialty dinnerware.  I especially like their seasonal dishes like:

Certified International 'Holiday Magic Red' Assorted 9-inch Dessert Plates (Set of 4)

What dinnerware do you like?

Overstock Scavenger Hunt week 2 - Pearl Diving!

This week's adventure to win an Overstock gift certificate sent me on a trail through a place near and dear to my heart - Jewelry!  To a locale around the neck and further to the deep sea (or freshwater) prize - Pearl Necklaces!

In my family, pearls are a very traditional look - and we have lovely strands of pearls that have been past from generation to generation.  What I love most about pearls is that, unlike cold gemstones, they can reflect a warmth from the body that only pearls can.

What I love about the collection of Pearl necklaces on Overstock.com is that they aren't just traditional - there are some truly funky pieces that would go in any modern wardrobe!

My two favorites are:

14k Gold Black Cultured Tahitian Pearl Necklace (8-10 mm/ 18 in)

and

14k White Gold FW Pearl and 1/8ct TDW Diamond Necklace

What are your favorite pearls?

Off on a hunt... an Overstock Hunt

For the next several weeks, I am participating in an Overstock Scaveneger Hunt... each week I'm going to be checking out a set of clues to find another cool product from Overstock.com!

This week's trail took me through Home and Garden, into the Kitchen and Dining area, to check out appliances, specifically... food processors and wow... with over 50 to choose from, Overstock.com has a Food Processor for everyone.

I personally have a food processor on my holiday wish list.. because I think it will come in incredibly handy when I start making Erik's baby food.

I've just started my comparison shopping and would love your feedback about brands that you have, features you think I need to spend my money on or ones that just aren't worth the extra dough...  I'm partial to this one:

KitchenAid RKFP750BW Blue Willow 12-cup Ultra Wide Mouth Food Processor (Refurbished

but I'm not sure if that's because of the great features, or just because it's a cool blue color..

I really do want your opinion, so if you have time to leave me a comment, I'd appreciate it!
