Friday Fragments!

Wow - It's December already!  I can't believe how fast November went... I blinked...

Lots going on with the blog, I'm closing in on 4000 Fabulous Facebook Fans of the blog page!  Less than 100 people to go!  Hopefully I'll get there before the end of the month!  Speaking of blog goals, my other ones are to be over 5000 twitter followers, 4500 GFC followers, 5000 Feedburner RSS followers and 1400 email subscribers by January 1st!  If I am, I'll be holding a great giveaway as 2012 begins!

I'm going to be spending Saturday out Mystery Shopping - it should be an interesting day ... can't tell you where I'll be... but I hope to get some Christmas shopping done too!  Darn, can't take the kids when I do mystery shops... sorry Daddy...

It was Erik's turn to be sick this week - we went from a fever on the weekend to a mystery rash and now he's got a snotty nose and a bit of a cough... I just can't seem to get all my family healthy at the same time!

Erik's good news for the week is that he now has FIVE teeth... yep, the next little sucker popped through Wednesday after almost a full week of drool baby...

Liam had a bit of a roller coaster week - for the first time ever he refused to get on the school bus Tuesday morning... little did he know that I'd be driving him to school anyway and leaving him whether he cried or not... I'm not as soft hearted as daddy...

I will say that I learned that I'd rather not make that drive every day... it was frustrating to try and get down the highway in bumper to bumper traffic... the wrong time to be trying to drive ... but the only way to get there from here...

Robyn is closing in on completing the first 23 miles of the Charleston Youth Marathon - It's set up so that they run the 23 miles in increments and then get together and run the last 3 miles (5K) together with all of the other participating youngsters from across the County.  She's raising money to support her schoolmates in getting a bus for all of them to get to the 5K - and also to support Youth Sports... If you'd be willing to pledge, comment below and I'll send you my paypal email - you can either support with a specific dollar amount or by pledging anywhere from 10 cents a miles ($2.60) up!

Wayne... hmm... oh yeah, the tall, handsome man that seems to pass in the night with me... it's crunch time - the last week of Fall term and also the start of the office holiday party season... hopefully after Exams are over he'll have some time to breathe and we'll actually get to see each other...

Oops... another blog announcement - I'm posting 25 days of yummy cookie recipes - starting yesterday with my Mom's famous whipped shortbread (so simple and melt in your mouth delish!).  If you'd like to guest post and share one of your family's favorite recipes, let me know!  I've also added a Cookie Recipe linky to each day's post so that you can link up any yummy cookie recipes on your blog!

I'm also putting up a random daily poll on my facebook page every day now... so stop by and answer one of my fun (and sometimes absurd) questions...

Speaking of random... I was at Chick-fil-a tonight and witnessed a wonderful Random Act of Kindness.... a teenager was picking his meal at the counter when a lady came through the door with 4 little kids in tow... he helped her get them seated, asked what they wanted and then went back to the counter to order for them... I thought they knew him... but the lady walked up to the counter to pay for the meals he ordered and he turned her down... and then introduced himself and said that he was glad to see that they were having family time... he paid for the 5 meals and headed out the door with his take out... such a wonderful thing to see!

Well that's it for my frags this week... but I know that there are others who have taken the time to pull all those little fragments out of their minds and blogged them into words, so pop over to see Mrs. 4444 and the rest of the fraggers at:

Mommy's Idea

PS I apologize if my frags make even less sense than usual... Erik hasn't slept through the night in almost a week... and while I love him, I had almost forgotten what it was like to operate as a complete Zombie Mom... wish I could forget again...
