If your kids are like mine, they are huge fans of Buddy, Shiny, Tiny and Don... all of the kids in the Pteranodon family, so getting Dinosaur Train: T-REX TALES for review was like Christmas coming early to our house!

My Review:
I love that although this is a cartoon and definitely sci-fi for kids, there is so much learning going on about dinosaurs, eco-systems and many other science concepts. Heck - Buddy always starts his adventures with a hypothesis... and now Liam, who is just now starting to speak in multi-word sentences, can say hypothesis! I'm counting the days until Erik blurts out that he has a hypothesis - I'm guessing somewhere around 2 and a half maybe?
What I love most about this DVD is that they've included Dr. Scott's segments within each episode so that the kids get a double check about what they are learning and can really feel like they are part of the science of the show!
Dinosaur Train: T-REX TALES is also great for teaching comparisons and talking about same and different, since each episode features a different kind of dinosaur and helps show kids what makes them unique also made different species of dinsoaurs unique.
