With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I feel like I'm surrounded by lucky charms - my family, friends and neighbors make every day lucky! Especially my husband and kids! One of the things that I'm thankful and feel lucky about for is that my tween (just over a month left until she hits the big 1-3 and I have to call her a teen... but I digress) will still curl up with us to watch movies on rainy days!
In terms of lucky charms, I've just been given the opportunity to tell you about one more! It's not a horseshoe, a four leaf clover or even pixie dust that's got me raving, it's a new promotion from redbox! They're giving everyone the chance to score free movie credits now through St. Patrick’s Day during the redbox Lucky to Have Friends Like You promotion!
It can work for you too! Just sign up at http://www.redbox.com/luckysocial and you will receive your own unique code to share - every time someone rents with that code, you earn free movie credits - how much fun is that?
What's even easier is that you can share to all of your social media accounts with just a few clicks - and you can edit what you want to say before it tweets, goes out to facebook or even posts right to your blog!
You can also email your family and friends to share just how lucky you are - and if they sign up for a new account, they'll get a free redbox rental and so will you!!!
The sign up process was incredibly simple and fast. Within two minutes I had my new redbox rental account, signed up for the Lucky to Have Friends Like You promotion, and had emailed, tweeted and shared my good fortune on facebook! The next step was even better - they take you to a screen where you can track your stats - how many recommendations you've sent, how many times those recommendations were viewed, clicked and most importantly HOW MANY REWARDS YOU'VE EARNED!
As for redbox itself, I love that you can reserve your movies and video games before you leave the house, so you're not standing at the kiosk debating about what to see, or worse yet, disappointed that what you wanted to see was already out! I had honestly never used this feature, just playing Russian Roulette at my local redbox location and grabbing whatever was the first thing that we could agree on...
I am lucky to be able to share movies with my daughter and I hope that it's a long time before she's too busy or too cool to curl up and watch movies with her mom...
What or who do you consider to be your lucky charm?
