Behind the Author: Georgia Le Carre

I am pleased to be interviewing Georgia Le Carre as part of her Pump Up Your Book Blog Tour for her new erotic romance book, The Billionaire Banker

1. Tell us a little bit about how you write your books:

To be utterly frank my book kind of wrote itself.  I sort of knew where I was going but the nitty-gritty just arrived on the page as I was writing it.

2. How long have you been writing and what do you love about it?

A long time ago I heard something that touched me profoundly.  If you never read a book you will live in only your head and experience only one lifetime.  That is what I love about both reading and writing.  The richness of other lives, perceptions and perspectives.
3. What hobbies/interests do you have?

I like walking.  I could walk for miles.  Especially when the moon is very bright.

4. Something people would be surprised to know about me is…

Quite recently I came into contact with a conman who obviously did what he did best and helped empty a chunk out of my bank account.  But here is the surprising thing.  I lay awake that night and fantasized about hiring two heavies who would go around to his house and start smashing all his furniture up until he got on his computer and returned the money.  And he if didn’t the heavies would start on him!!  And this from a person who won’t even eat meat pain to animals.  I guess the dark lives in all of us and in the right circumstances it pokes its head out.

5. If you could invite 4 people (real or fictional, living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and what would you serve?

Lady Diana
Hitler
The last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II
Muammar Gaddafi

If my choice seems haphazard, it is only because these are people with large secrets who died under mysterious circumstances, and I’d like to know what really happened.  Well, since they are all dead, I’d serve them nothing.

6. I can’t live without…

Beauty in all its forms.

7. Tell us a little about this current book - what was your favorite part about writing it?

My favorite part?
I think I enjoyed writing Blake and Lana’s first sexual encounter.  It’s strange but ever since I was on holiday in Thailand and I saw the little child prostitutes I have always wondered what happens for these poor things when the money has exchanged hands and the bedroom door closes.  I guess I was fulfilling their greatest fantasy.  The pretty woman fantasy.

8. What's next for your writing?

Next?  Next is Book 2.

9. How can your fans stay up to date with what you are doing?
