Here are the Questions:

1. It is Veteran's Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada - are you participating in any special events or doing anything to honor those who served?

2. How far are you willing to drive before it becomes better to fly?

3. Fresh cranberries are back in stores - Wayne is happy because I'm making crisps again, do you cook/bake with fresh cranberries? Recipes?

4. We turned on our heat for the first time this week here in SC... how long has the heat been on at your house? What temperature do you set your furnace at?

Our Responses

1. It is Veteran's Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada - are you participating in any special events or doing anything to honor those who served?

W - I will be sharing "In Flanders Field" and pausing at 11 am

H - Liam's school will be honouring veterans at lunch and having them read to students - I'll be helping with some of the prep and wearing my poppy!  I'll also be pausing at 11am.

2. How far are you willing to drive before it becomes better to fly?

W - We drive 18 hours to get home with the family - it's way more cost effective, but if I am travelling alone, I would say about 8 hours.

H - I am pretty sure we'd have to be travelling a really long way to make airfare for 5 cost effective, but travelling alone, I probably wouldn't go more than 5-6 hours without someone else in the car.

3. Fresh cranberries are back in stores - Wayne is happy because I'm making crisps again, do you cook/bake with fresh cranberries? Recipes?

W - I like crisps and fresh cranberry jelly and anything else Heather makes.

H - Cranberries are a huge favorite here - I love to try out new recipes every year and I'll be freezing a bunch to keep Wayne in crisps til spring...

4. We turned on our heat for the first time this week here in SC... how long has the heat been on at your house? What temperature do you set your furnace at?

W - Heather has the heat up too high - it should be 62F at max.

H - I have the house set at 65F - warm enough that the floors dont' feel too icy on my toes, but cool enough to still get comfy under an afghan when you're chillin' out.

And here is our 5th Question:

Do you have season tickets to anything?  (sports, arts?)

W - I have season tickets to the C of C Basketball teams.

H - I have annual passes to all the kids favorite places but no season tickets...
