Book Review: Chasing Mrs. Right

I love discovering new authors whose work I click with right away, and that's exactly what happened when I discovered Chasing Mrs. Right by Katee Robert, which I found while browsing for new reads on Netgalley

From the Publisher:

It was only supposed to last one night…

Roxanne Stokes doesn’t believe in love. She does, however, believe in the sexy-as-sin stranger who literally knocks her off her feet in front of a nightclub. The chemistry sparking between them takes her breath away, and she’ll do anything to ease the pain in his eyes…until she realizes the handsome stranger is her best friend’s older brother who’s just come home from war.

Ian Walser had no idea the gorgeous woman he slept with the night of his homecoming party was his little sister’s best friend—or that she’d be gone before morning. Roxanne’s touch soothes him in a way nothing else can, and he’s not ready to walk away from that yet. Not when spending time with her gave Ian a glimpse of everything he’s ever wanted.

When his sister unwittingly pushes them together, he sees his chance. But convincing a woman who doesn’t believe in love that she’s his Mrs. Right might be harder than any mission Ian’s undertaken. Good thing this soldier likes a challenge…

My review:

I honestly clicked with this book from the first chapter - the writing style was effortless and the characters were both strong and flawed in a way that conveyed depth and strength, despite having obstacles to overcome!  I didn't realize when I chose this book that it was actually the second book in a series, and instead of feeling like something was missing from the story - which can happen when you leap in part way, it really made me want to go back and read the first book, Wrong Bed, Right Guy as soon as I had finished this one!   I love that both characters bring competing flaws and complimentary strengths...

Chasing Mrs. Right is a sexy read that contains some really steamy scenes, an alpha male and a strong female who may just figure out exactly what they want... if you're looking for a juicy romance to stick your teeth into, this might just be the book for you!

Reading the books out of order was fine - they're romance novels, right... so you know that there's going to be a happy ending ;-)  I think it actually added to Wrong Bed, Right Guy that I had even more insight into Gabe and Elle... and I am waiting on tinder-hooks for Nathan's story to come out this summer!

Disclaimer: I received a e-book copy of Chasing Mrs. Right for the purposes of completing my review.  I paid for Wrong Bed, Right Guy...
