Saturday Blogger Interview with Rachel from Roasted Beanz

I am pleased to invite Rachel from Roasted Beanz to hang out at Acting Balanced today!  She answered my nine questions so we can get to know her better, but if you have a question for her, please feel free to add it in the comments!

1. Tell us a little bit about your blog:

Roasted Beanz is my writing and creative respite. Its young, only about six months old, but I love seeing it grow and develop. Much like I do my own kids! I ponder on it about motherhood, health, and home-life. Plus it makes my obsession with coffee look beneficial now.

2. How long have you been blogging and what do you love about it?

I started blogging as a hobby in 2009. I kind of giggle thinking I turned "Pro" in 2012 {aka its my actual job now}. But when I created Roasted Beanz, I was in the mindset of "go big or stay home". The turning point was taking a year off in 2011. I had a really rough pregnancy with my son and subsequently discovered that he didn't like Mom sleeping...ever. But I remember rocking him in the early morning hours and realized one thing; Just how much, I really missed blogging. Being able to share what you know, what you find, what you experience. Some people are so lucky to find one thing that they can write about everyday. Me? I needed a tri-fecta. I also needed coffee now constantly. Throw in a penchant for realizing how much a bean means to our family and voila! Roasted Beanz was born.

3. Who is the person or group behind the blog?

Just a Mom. A writer. Wanna be photographer. I dream big, love to plan. I love being inspired to grow or do more. And I have more recently discovered that sleep deprivation does not look pretty.

4. What hobbies/interests do you have?

My current #1 hobby is photography. I also love crafts...don't have much time for them lately however. Because the only interest I really have right now is sleep. And silence. I really understand why old people just want everyone to shush now.

5. If you could invite 4 people (real or fictional, living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and what would you serve?

WOW. That is truly one question I have never pondered. Honestly...not to creep anyone out but, how great would it be to visit with all the babies I lost while I struggled to become a Momma? And to see my first-born, Ethan, again would be amazing. Will have a reserve of milk just in case. But otherwise, I'm all about catering up some great eats and pasta from a close restaurant, Carrabba's more then likely since its my favorite.
6. I can’t live without…

Burts Bee's chapstick. The original one w/that tingly menthol goodness. Well and my kids, Isabel & Otis - they're a given though.

7. Something people would be surprised to know about me is…

Okay this is going to sound really strange but...I love complimenting people. Call it a heart hug...but days are too short, we don't live forever, and inspiration flows from great karma. I'm big on Karma. I hate drama. And I'm really sarcastic. Not sure how all those really came to fit together but here I am!

8. Three of my favorite blogs to visit are:
