Wednesday Hodgepodge

1.  So, when did you last take a walk in the woods? A stroll along the beach? A drive going nowhere in particular in the car?
We strolled at Edisto Park a few weeks ago, we strolled up the Ravenal Bridge last week and I think we're planning another stroll soon...

2.  Are you sending Christmas cards this year?  About how many do you send?  Photo card or something more traditional?  How do you display the cards you receive?
I have been remiss about sending cards the past few years... I do usually send e-cards.

3. What's a word you've heard too much of in the past week?
Puke... enough said?
4. December 13th is National Cocoa Day-are you a fan?  Plain or flavored?  Marshmallows or no marshmallows?
I am allergic to chocolate so call me back on National Tea or National Chai day and we'll talk..

5. What is something you do to help alleviate the hectic pace of the Christmas season?
Long hot baths... in a locked room
6. Besides jewelry, what's a favorite sparkly-glittery item in your home or closet?
I have an old dress from years ago that is silver and really sparkly...
7. Share a favorite line or two from any Christmas carol.
Twas in the moon of winter time when all the birds had fled... The Mighty Gitchie Manitou sent angel choirs instead...

8. Random thought: it's funny how things happen for a reason... I had linked up a different version of the Huron Christmas Carol for my Music Monday post, but decided to head to Youtube for a different take on it.. and stumbled upon Heather Dale's version - I knew Heather and her alter ego (Marian of Heatherdale) back when she first joined the Scarborough, Ontario or Ard Creag chapter of an organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism in the early '90s and she just released this carol as part of a free download album on her website -check out the rest of it at http://heatherdale.com/ .
