Travelling with Kids: A Weekend In Atlanta with Coca Cola

We took Robyn and Liam to Atlanta a few years ago for a weekend getaway and had a fabulous time exploring downtown Atlanta - both of the kids loved exploring the Georgia Aquarium and we also went to the Natural History Museum and CNN which Robyn had a great time visiting.  I have to say that one of Wayne's favorite places was The World of Coca Cola, especially the tasting room!   It was so fun to try Coke and other sodas from around the world!

He was also a huge fan of the World of Coca Cola store - especially the t-shirts he added to his collection:

It was a great place for the kids to wander around too - everything was bright and just called to you!  My personal favorite was the Polar Bear:

The World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta recently opened a new exhibit – The Vault of the Secret Formula – that has a mix of surprise elements and rich history for kids and parents alike. For the first time ever, families can see and get within just a few feet of the actual vault containing the 125-year-old secret formula for Coca-Cola. The exhibit includes a virtual Taste Maker, fun zone of myths and legends surrounding the formula and a full-body interactive game taking you to the previous locations of the formula.

The World of Coca-Cola partners with other downtown Atlanta attractions also great for those traveling with kids to or within Atlanta, including the Georgia Aquarium, High Museum of Art, Zoo Atlanta and others.  You can also check out one family’s fun as the World of Coca-Cola welcomed its 5 millionth guest earlier this year.

We're headed back to Atlanta this weekend and plan to definitely check out this latest addition!  Is Atlanta on your family's bucket list?
