Book Review and #Giveaway - Don't Throw Those Coupons Away

Some of you may remember that I once tried to divide my time between two blogs and eventually had to decide to concentrate on Acting Balanced and leave the couponing blogs to people who had more time to scour the internet and their stores for deals... I also used to be an extreme couponer, but again, priorities being what they are, I'm not doing nearly as well as I should be, so when I was asked to review the new book Don't Throw Those Coupons Away!: A Mom's Guide to Saving Money at the Grocery Store, I decided that it was going to be the jumpstart I needed to get back in the game.

Product Description
Don't Throw Those Coupons Away!: A Mom's Guide to Saving Money at the Grocery StoreEverywhere you turn you hear about the economic downturn. People are losing their jobs and are left without the money they need for everyday necessities. There are some people who have taken jobs making substantially less in order to help them survive. Meanwhile, the price of food has not decreased. In fact, the prices are continuing to soar. Grocery items are essential for each and every family. Those of us who have children know that you cannot just eat ramen noodles. Children and babies must eat to help them grow. The worst thing in the world for a Mom or Dad to hear is that their child is hungry and there is nothing they can do. You may have heard about people who save a lot of money with coupons but may be confused as to how to actually do it. Most television segments show you only bits and pieces of what the 'Coupon Queen' did to save so much money. There wasn't a lot to go on. It can be a very frustrating process if you don't have all of the information to make it work for you. Don't Throw Those Coupons Away! - A Mom's Guide to Saving Money at the Grocery Store.

My Review:
This book is a great step by step guide to getting started at couponing or ramping up from novice to regular couponer.  I like how easy it is to read and to follow the instructions.  I also like that it's so compact that you can even carry it with you!
Organized so that you can figure out even the most complicated store rewards program, and figure out the difference between an ECB and a Register Reward, you can tell that this mom practices what she preaches!
If you want to start couponing, and don't want to spend time fumbling around and reinventing the wheel, I recommend checking out Don't Throw Those Coupons Away!: A Mom's Guide to Saving Money at the Grocery Store
