Melting Fragments and Filling it in today...

It's Heather's turn to write all of today's frags... Thanks to Mrs. 4444 at Half Past Kissin' Time for hosting!

Charleston is recovering from it's brush with winter weather... the kids were off school for two and a half days and I was glad that they were able to go back today, even if it is on a modified day...  I love my kiddos but they really do need to go to school for both of our sanity...

I have to say that as a Canadian living in Charleston, it's frustrating that they can't come up with a plan to de-ice the bridges once the actual sleet and snow have stopped... one bridge closed on Tuesday and didn't re-open until rush hour on Thursday, despite the actual precipitation ending fairly early on Wednesday...  I understand the need to be cautious, but there must be a better way?

Wayne is an unhappy camper this week - Monday afternoon, even before the 'great ice storm of January 2014" descended on Charleston, a transformer blew at the College of Charleston, and wouldn't you know it, the building that houses his office was plunged into darkness - the repair estimate is currently Sunday... maybe.  Wayne had a ton of projects he wanted to work on and even headed into the office several times hoping he could get some work done, but no, they are waiting on a part and it's now not only dark, but frigid in the building... so he's currently working at McDonalds...

  • It's not that I won't let him work from home, but when he is home the boys just won't leave him alone...
Liam started a new four week program yesterday - the local college is doing FitCatz for Special Needs Children and they are playing in the gym for an hour then heading to the pool for an hour every Thursday for these four weeks!  Liam apperantly had a great time and is learning to do assisted floats and assisted swimming as well as bounching on everything in the gym!  I love that each child has been paired with one or two college students who are studying towards becoming therapists of one sort or another and are getting practical experience working with our kiddos!

I'm going to answer Feeling Beachie's 4 Fill-ins too...

1) Have you started your taxes yet?  Wayne and I filed... feels good... except that the money is almost all spent already
2)Oregon Individual Vanilla Chai packages are my favorite warm me up product
3) I like hanging out with my children but prefer to do it in the daytime rather than the middle of the night!
4)Social media is time consuming, but fun!
