Book Review: A Doctor's Redemption (Gold Coast Angels)

I received an e-ARC copy of this book through Netgalley.com and no other compensation.
All opinions are my own.

You all know me, I'm a sucker for a good romance - and Gold Coast Angels: A Doctor's Redemption, is a great one.  Currently available for pre-order on Amazon, this is the first e-book the Gold Coast Angels series - and there are three more books that have been announced, including Two Tiny Heartbeats that is also coming out October 1st and two more, How to Resist Temptation and Bundle of Trouble which become available November 1st (but you can pre-order them too).  For those who aren't e-reading yet, the paperbacks will also be available from Harlequin.

So here is what the publisher says about A Doctor's Redemption:

Tempting the lone doc

Sam Webster lives for three things: his little heart patients, his dog and surfing. Out on the waves this gorgeous lone wolf can find the solace he craves.

When a bubbly new nurse spots him on the beach and begs him to teach her to surf, his first reaction is a big fat no! But Zoe's lust for life is infectious and tempting—she has learned to grab each moment. Can she show Sam that life is worth living if he'll take the biggest risk of all with her?
My take:

The characters in this book jumped out of my kindle and into my head - within a few pages, they felt like friends and I love that the author created two characters that bring flaws, anxieties and loving personalities to the story.  The writing flows effortlessly and I honestly devoured the book in one setting and am dying to learn more about the secondary characters, Cade and Callie whose story comes out in How to Resist Temptation (November 1st).

I don't often pick up medical romance as a genre - I was kind of biased that they'd be trite and full of doctor or nurse cliches, but Marion Lennox is able to take this story beyond the hospital walls and create fun, spirited and creative characters who I would love to know in real life!  If you are looking for a great read that lures you into a continuity series, you should totally check out A Doctor's Redemption!
