Review: Simpsons Season 15

When you get an entire season of a cult classic like The Simpsons: The Fifteenth Season you are usually in for a marathon treat!  Wayne recently had the opportunity to relive some of the best episodes from almost ten years ago when we got this DVD collection to review!

The fifteenth season the The Simpsons was pretty good.  The show that season had plenty of political and news-based fodder that they 'went to town' with.  This was especially seen in the "Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays" and "Fraudcast News" episodes.  This season also features the very controversial episode "Bart-Mangled Banner".  This was great as a history lesson, but ten years later makes some of the jokes quite dated.  My favorite thing was the media bashing that was a thread that ran through several episodes... and is unfortunately still quite relevant today.  Further, this season also featured some great guest stars.  My particular favorite was the Artie Ziff episode with Jon Lovitz.

Overall, it is a good season where The Simpsons are at the irreverent best.  It's worth watching and if you are a Simpsons Fanatic, you will want this season in your collection.
