9 at 9 ~ An Interview with...

I am pleased to invite Debi from The Spring Mount 6 Pack to take her turn in the Acting Balanced 9 at 9 hot seat and let us know a little more about her!

The Spring Mount 6 Pack

1. Tell us a little bit about your blog:

My blog is called The Spring Mount 6 Pack. The first question I get is always where did you get that name from, but it really is simple. There are 6 of us and we live in Spring Mount. The ironic thing is, I live in a town that is only about 3 miles wide, with no post office, but does have 3 bars. So the name makes my husband and I giggle, but it is really just because there are 6 of us. I focus on family life, crafts and recipes, things to do with the family, and fun places to travel. Also, lots of reviews and giveaways.

2. How long have you been blogging and what do you love about it?

I started blogging in 2009. I started it for fun, and a way to keep a log of what was going on with our life and my kids. As I started to connect with other bloggers and brands, it turned into so much more. Now it has become something that is really for me. It is becoming my way of following a passion because I always wanted to be a writer when I was a kid.

3. Who is the person or group behind the blog?

It is mostly just me. I have 2 wonderful ladies who are starting to help with reviews that I can't do, like pregnancy or newborn items, that I think my readers might really enjoy. Also, The Alien Stick Man, my husband, makes his appearance from time to time.

4. What hobbies/interests do you have?

I used to love to do lots of things, but these days I have very little time for much. I do try to squeeze in knitting as often as possible. My family loves to go geocaching and I love to go for long walks so this is a great way to combine 2 of my favorite things.

5. If you could invite 4 people (real or fictional, living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and what would you serve?

My great grandmother was one of my most favorite people in the whole world. She meant so much to me. She died when I was a teenager. Her husband, my great grandfather, dies when I was very young, and I never really knew him. I would also invite the grandparents on my father's side. I never really knew them either. I would love to get to know them all to be able to tell my kids more about their great great grand parents.

6. I can’t live without… of course my family, but after that chocolate and my phone. They are my must haves

7. Something people would be surprised to know about me is…

I am painfully shy until I get to know someone. I am horrible at small talk so getting to know people can be hard. If someone else starts a conversation, I will chit chat away, but getting past that hump is hard for me.

8. Three of my favorite blogs to visit are (includue urls) :
