9 a 9 - an interview with...

I am so pleased to be able to introduce you to another great blog friend, Leila from Life  as Leels, who agreed to be on this week's hot seat!  I hope you take advantage and check out her blog and suggestions for other blogs to visit!
Life as Leels

1. Tell us a little bit about your blog:

Life as Leels is on it's 3rd name in the 10 months I have been blogging! It was originally Leila * Mommy * Business Woman and was just a social media tool for a direct sales company I was in at the time. I soon found myself in this whole other world of blogging and decided to continue my blog as a personal/family blog with stories, suggestions, reviews and giveaways. In November of 2011, it became The Go To Mommy and then in March of 2012, it became Life as Leels. The content has always been the same, just different names!

2. How long have you been blogging and what do you love about it?

I have been blogging for roughly 10 months. I love that my blog is my own little piece of the world where I can share what I want to share whether it be a personal story (good or bad). I can share my experiences, my opinions, I love everything about blogging! Best of all, I love my friends in the computer who have taught me so much about blogging!

3. Who is the person or group behind the blog?

I, Leila, am the person behind the blog. I am a married mother of two rambunctious children. I was born and raised in Minnesota, moved to Wisconsin for a few months, went back home to Minnesota for 10 days and have been in Arizona since March 2003. I work part time outside of the home, am a full time Master's program student, an independent consultant and a blogger!

4. What hobbies/interests do you have?

I tend to spend most of my free time blogging because I have not grown sick of it yet! Otherwise, I enjoy reading, singing, playing cards with friends, or doing things with my family! With summer here, I'll be doing a lot more swimming now (one of our favorite summer activities!)

5. If you could invite 4 people (real or fictional, living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and what would you serve?

One person would be Helen Keller. I have idolized her and her achievements since I was in second grade. I would invite my father who passed away in May 2011, because I haven't seen him in 11 years. I would also invite Patrick Swayze because let's admit it - the man was always hot (and I hear he is good people). Lastly, hmmm... Elvis Presley. I am a big fan!

As for what I would serve... I would have hubby cook them up something yummy (he likes the cooking) and I would bake them some yummy dessert because I'm the best dessert maker. Probably something like my stepdad's kielbasa chili and then my grandma's awesome chocolate chip cookies!

6. I can’t live without…

The internet? My phone? Facebook? My blog? All of the above?

I guess as a mommy I should say my kiddos, because that is the truth. I would die without my kids, but as far as material items, I don't think a day goes by that I haven't used my phone, the internet, facebook, or my blog!

7. Something people would be surprised to know about me is…

After the birth of my daughter, I was diagnosed with post partum depression and pregnancy induced social anxiety. Since the trauma of my grandfather's suicide in May 2009, I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder which really makes things difficult including social settings!
