Tropicana Pure Premium in our home - A Saturday Tradition #TropFloridaOJ

I have to say that we don't all eat breakfast together on weekdays... our family functions in shifts right now - Wayne and Liam get up to catch their respective buses long before Robyn, Erik and I need to move, and because I'm usually up later in the evening, getting up with the boys would be really tough, so Wayne and Liam have their morning routine and then once they leave the rest of us can do our thing, but on Saturday's it's a different thing - with more time and less structure, we can have family brunch and enjoy each other's company!

I love to be able to make something fun and healthy that we just don't have time for during the week - made to order eggs, especially omelets, bacon and pancakes are usually on the menu, along with our favorite Orange Juice - Low Acid Tropicana Pure Premium!  Saturday is our one guaranteed family day... and getting a chance to serve everyone a yummy brunch is part of making sure that our family has quality time together.

I was surprised to learn when I was researching this post that oranges have been grown in Florida since the 1560's and that it was nearly 150 years later before any other U.S. State started producing oranges.  I also learned that Tropicana is the single largest buyer of Florida fruit, purchasing approximately 11.6 billion oranges from Florida each year and Tropicana uses groves in 22 different Florida counties, primarily in central and southern Florida.  Tropicana themselves have a long history in Florida, with some of its current grower relationships going back over 50 years!

But more importantly for me is that the Low Acid Tropicana Pure Premium is one of the few orange juice blends that we can all drink!  Liam and I both have a low tolerance for acid in orange juice and we both love it ... and I know that when I pour us both a nice big glass of Low Acid Tropicana Pure Premium that all we're getting is pure sweet orange juice!   The two major orange types in Tropicana Pure Premium are Valencia and Hamlin. Valencias typically have more intense color and flavor, while Hamlins can be sweeter. They each add unique characteristics to the TPP blend.
