Friday Fragments

You know you're a parent when your week of sleepless nights involved cranky kids, drool and teething... I had hoped we were over the sleepless nights after the boys were sick last week, but it's not to be... Erik has had two more teeth come through and has 6 more buds waiting ... so I'm predicting a grumpy mommy for a few more days...

I opened my Facebook to dozens of messages regarding Michelle Dugger and her unfortunate miscarriage - I can't believe how many people need to make rude comments on sympathy posts... I understand they're a controversial family - and they've put themselves into the spotlight - but a loss is a loss... and they have my deepest sympathy on their loss.

I am supposed to be having two great house parties - one for Hickory Farms and another for Boogie Wipes... but I can't find a day where I'm not bone tired or the kids are sick... hopefully I can get together with some friends soon!

I hit a couple of blogging milestones this week!  5000 Twitter Followers - thank you tweeps!  AND 4000 Facebook Fans!  I am humbled that there are that many people who like me... or at least pretend to so they can enter my contests...

For those who are tracking Robyn's run, she is 2.8 miles from her goal!!! They have stopped running as a team for the holidays, so she will be on her own to get those last few miles in... luckily our neighborhood is almost exactly one mile if you do the outside circuit and a little more... so she'll be heading out to do a couple one mile runs this weekend!

Special thanks to Mrs. 4444, host of Friday Fragments and wonderful person - she's donated towards Robyn's fundraising goal for the runners - to be able to get them all transported to the big finale, and also to support ongoing sports fundraising at the school...

Liam has been talking up a storm since getting his tubes re-fit... I think we're going to have to schedule more regular ear check ups for him... to make sure the tubes continue to work this time rather than get gummed up ... I honestly think that for him, the tubes make the biggest difference, both to the quality of his speech and to his behavior!

7 sleeps left... nope, not til Christmas, but until Christmas vacation starts.... luckily my in-laws will be here to help keep the kids corralled!

I'm a little bummed - my mother is retiring next week and they're throwing a huge party for her... and yet again, my little family won't be able to be there to celebrate with her... but the good thing is that they'll be free to come and visit more often, since she'll be footloose and fancy-free...

Do you have a favorite Christmas Carol?  Liam's is still this one:

On another different note - I did a mystery shop today... a shoe store... I made $12 and had work really hard to get out of the store with that cash intact... before I left I wanted to spend $240 on a pair of Kate Spade pumps... and another $55 on a pair of cute strappy sandals ... kinda would have defeated getting the job...

Well, I'm off to catch a few ZZZz now that Erik is down for the count... keep thinking happy sleep all night thoughts for us... please!

And while you're at it, go and see how Mrs. 4444 is doing and check out all the other random frags being thrown at her:
