Friday Fragments

I slept until after 10 am today... of course I didn't go to bed until after 7 am... yep I was one of the hordes of people out Black Friday shopping.  I probably would have slept longer but one of my new neighbors has a dog that whines and he was being cooped up in their garage ... man does that sound echo...

I got a few really good deals - a new coat for Liam and some clothes for both boys - Robyn scored really cute boots for $15 and a new sweater and a sweater dress... picked up a couple of movies - Cars 2 for the boys, something for Wayne from Santa and New Moon for Robyn - all on great deals at Target...

My biggest splurge was on a sanity saver for me... it's a new dual screen DVD system for the car... our old one is several years old and doesn't work well... but with 1000 miles between us and family, it's a wise investment (in my book)

The only thing that really shocked me was how many stores opened EARLY... everywhere we went to be on time was teaming with people because they'd opened up to 2 hours before the time that they had posted...

Turkey day was a big success here - thanks in part to my favorite way to cook a turkey - in a look bag - it was quiet - just the 5 of us, but Erik is definitely a Thanksgiving Day feast kid - he wolfed down cranberries, turkey and stuffing like they were going out of style!

Liam had his tubes replaced in his ears on Wednesday, which I worried might have an effect on his energy - not so, he was up and running around outside within a couple of hours.  He's had major drainage from one ear, which I hope will stop soon and I'm also hoping that my friendly little boy will be back after suffering for almost two months with non-stop ear infections...

I am now about 95% finished shopping... just a few more things to hunt down... it feels really good.

It's exactly one month til Christmas!  When do you put up your tree and decorations?  How much shopping do you have left?

Well, I'm all fragged out yet again - so check out and see who else has linked up at:
