Review: Eucerin Plus Essentials

Transitions between seasons seem to be hard on my skin and I often find myself in situations where I get very dry skin which ends up getting very itchy.  I made it worse this weekend by getting too much sun on my back because I didn't get any sunscreen on it and now if I go to long without putting something on it after my shower, the itch is almost all consuming!

For the past few weeks I have been reviewing Eucerin Plus Smoothing Essentials Fast Absorbing Body Lotion and Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème.  I have found it to be the perfect blend of light but active coverage - not greasy or lumpy like some others I have tried, but when I got sun burned I originally went back to the aloe based product I usually used.  I got no relief, so I decided to see if the Eucerin Plus Smoothing Essentials Fast Absorbing Body Lotion could help in any way.  The relief was immediate!  The itch was gone and even though it's been several days since I got sun burned, I haven't started to peel at all!

The other product I have been trying is the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème, which I have been carrying around in my purse to use after washing up while I'm out!

This unique, non-greasy formula intensively moisturizes, and is enriched with buffered alpha hydroxy to gently exfoliate. Discover noticeably smoother hands after just one application.
  • Dermatologist recommended
  • Repairs and gently exfoliates dry, cracked skin, hands and fingers
  • Noticeably smoother hands after just one use

I learned afterwards that the alpha-hydroxy in both products can lead to sunburns, but since I hadn't used either one on my back, just my arms and legs (which didn't get burned) it really was my own fault!

I can honestly say that my skin is weathering the temperature change and my busy schedule to keep my back from itching and the rest of my skin from drying out!  If you are looking for a way to have your skin stay soft and supple throughout the Fall and into the Winter as the air gets drier, you should totally check out the Eucerin Plus line up - which you can do by visiting their website at www.eucerinus.com, liking Eucerin on Facebook or following them on twitter.
