Macy's Heart of Haiti

Mom Bloggers has given me a wonderful opportunity to share some wonderful information with you, my readers about a fabulous new charitable giving program organized by Macy's called Heart of Haiti.

One of the things that struck me about the progam is that instead of providing one-time funding through charity, Heart of Haiti is creating opportunities for Haitian artisans to earn income with dignity by creating jobs and income for the people of Haiti.

Through the sale of Heart of Haiti products, artisans are able to earn life-changing income for themselves, their families, and their communities. The initiative is enabling artisans to repair homes, pay school fees, and feed and clothe their families. The income also allows them to have access to better nutrition, improved education and healthcare.

With so many wonderful items for you and your home, the Heart of Haiti is a great way to give a unique gift this holiday season, and support more than 350 artisans and more than 5000 people in Haiti. Products include vases, candleholders, serving trays, picture frames, mirrors, coasters, necklaces, clutch purses and more.
