Book Review: Tiny Angel

I am pleased to be a review stop on Nancy Carti Lepri's virtual book tour with her book, Tiny Angel

About Tiny Angel

Tiny AngelWhen her dad is transferred to a new town, Macy Carver leaves behind her best friend and everything she knows. Suddenly she is the new girl…alone and bullied. An unexpected flash announces guardian angel Jody, who teaches her how to fit in and become a forever friend.
My review:
When I first picked up this book, I wished that it had been written about five years ago, when my husband had first finished his PhD and we were embarking on our adventure to the US.  So many of the adventures and issues that Macy was dealing with were things that my daughter, Robyn, who was seven when we moved, dealt with those first few years.
This book takes a positive look at dealing with being the new girl, being different and making the most of your situation.  I think that the presence of Jody, 'the tiny angel' was nicely done and served to help infuse the book with both energy and some humor.
I would recommend this book to children ages 7-9, particularly those who are going through a stressful time, are bullied or need to hear that there is positivity in the world.
