Product Review and Giveaway - Kid's Companions Chewelry

Some of you may remember a few months back when I was mentioning some of Liam's sensory issues and behaviors that one of the things he does every so often is chew on his clothes... This seems to be pretty typical behavior for kids with Autism and Sensory integration, but it drives me nuts!  I hate to see his shirt full of drool and soaked from chewing it.

So I was so glad when a fellow blogger recommended that I check out http://www.chewelry.ca/.  This site is great and has a fabulous product for those of us struggling with special needs kids -
Chewelry is a great chewable fidget for kids who need it - it is small enough that it doesn't draw too much attention and packs a whole lot of features into one BPA and phthalate free charm!

It's great for kids with Sensory Integration issues, Sensory Processing Disorder,  Autism, ADD, ADHD and any other kids who need oral sensory stimulation or a fidget!

Liam received a blue circle pendant that he calls his 'yo-yo' - he won't wear it around his neck, but does carry it around and use it like a fidget in his pocket.  He doesn't chew on the fidget piece, but does like to chew on the fabric lanyard part!   I'm so glad I asked for an undyed lanyard!

One of the things I love about this is that there are several textures incorporated in to each piece of Chewelry -  there is a raised heart on the front of each piece and several dots on the back side to run his fingers over.

I honestly think that this product has applications beyond kids with special needs - I can see ordering one for Erik when he starts teething - and particularly when he starts getting his molars at 2 and 3 years and moves beyond the baby stage...
