1. Today is National Christmas Card Day - do you send Christmas Cards?

2. What item do you "always" buy when it goes on sale at the Grocery Store?

Our Responses

1. Today is National Christmas Card Day - do you send Christmas Cards?

W - No Christmas cards for me.  I am not a big fan of them.  I am not sure what the tradition was supposed to mean.

H - I send out holiday cards... they may not get to their destinations in time for Christmas every year.

2. What item do you "always" buy when it goes on sale at the Grocery Store?

W - I do like apple pie - while I prefer my dad's - he lives 18 hours by car away so I will go with plan B and pick one up when it is one sale.

H - I like Diet Coke with Lime, but I refuse to pay full price for a case... so I wait until it goes on sale!

3. Certain flavours are associated with Christmas/December - what flavor do you most associate with the holiday season?

W - I do not mind the taste a peppermint tea.  Then again, I actually like Christmas cake - so what does that say about me.

H - I love gingerbread and any spicy cookies!

 4. Do you think gift cards are a good idea for Christmas or are they a cop-out?

W - While I see the practical applications of gift cards, why not just give straight cash if I am going to do it.  Heck, if I am trying to buy your affect through materialistic narcissism, why not go straight cash?  Have I told you all how much I did like this holiday?

H - I like gift cards for people who you want to honor at holidays but don't know extremely well... like all of my son's teachers and support workers, but I try not to do gift cards for family and close friends unless that's what they want!
